Job details: 18.5 Hours, Part Time, Temporary - Fixed Term
Fixed Term Contract until March 2020
This post plays a key role in St Leger Homes approach in providing help and support to tenants affected by Welfare Reform.
You will be visiting tenants in their own homes and carrying out detailed assessments of their financial circumstances to tailor help and support their needs and working with St Leger colleagues and other partner agencies to provide that help.
This could include completing benefit forms, referring them for help to find work or helping them to find and move to smaller accommodation.
We are looking for a committed candidate with:
- A good knowledge of welfare benefits and, in particular, Housing Benefit and Universal Credit
- A good understanding of the principles of rent collection and income management
- An awareness of different types of debt
- Excellent customer service skills
